SOME THRILLS...

Sep7Imo Dia was a most unusual Cirque experience...We attended the final performance on Sunday May 6th and having no idea of who "Soda Stereo" was, drawn in by the rock aspect of the Cirque mixed with a dystopian South America from a recent past. While visually stunning, and all performances were solid, there seemed to be more media than movement which is weird for a Cirque show. In my opinion, the greatest problem was the venue and not the performers. While you could be on the floor and experience the concert energy, the rest of us in seats---mostly empty-- were left feeling like we were viewing something from afar. This created a real disconnect for me as an audience member. I understand the show was only 3 days, but if they aren't going to perform in a tent they need to create intimacy by pulling all audience in attendance closer in seating. There was no reason for rafter seats for THIS show! All seats should have been lower tier level to make house feel fuller.

HATED IT

Been to atleast. Dozen Cirque shows this being worse by far. Show takes place on entire arena floor with performers moving around amount fans who are on floor. Performance was the simple basics. Since its on floor amount the amateur media aka audience/fans expect 90% of people to have their phones out recording the performance instead of being present in the NOW and enjoying it. If you are looking for something that you can live stream to your followers with the rest of the mindless sheep then this is for you. As for me having phone screens in my face entire performance ruined a ready basic show for me. Hope this is the last time they use this concept. Paid for floor level only to be annoyed by the 1000's of phones live streaming at once.
