DISAPPOINTED

Very disappointing evening. The music was very good, brought back memories of years ago. However at the beginning of the show Liz Mitchell Delivered a 12 minute rant of how good she is and how she is Boney M and is the show, how her voice can’t be replicated…. Turned off a lot of the audience and disrespected the rest of the group. The male skipping around the stage trying to flex his pecs and grabbing his crotch was just too much. While the singing was lovely there was no coregraphy at all… thankfully the three backup singers and the band helped save the evening… somewhat.

BONEY M

Good but not great. Sang too many unfamiliar songs. The last part where they sang Rasputin, Rivers of Babylon and Mary's Boy child was what made it good. I've always loved them but their concert wasn't that organized. Add to that the extremely extremely loud eardrum breaking volume that can be turned down anyway to make it better. They should think about their so many senior patrons. They also paid.

ALWAYS LEAVE THEM WANTING MORE

Liz Mitchell and "Boney M" should have taken P.T. Barnum's advice during the matinee on Sunday. Liz's dramatics at the beginning of the show could have been acceptable if she'd harnessed herself and moved on with performing a rehearsed show. Instead most of the seemingly endless afternoon seemed to be adlibbed. When she invited all the children from the audience to join them on stage, there could have been a tender moment with a Christmas song to add to the seasonal show - in fact one sweet 5 year old gave Liz the perfect exit moment when she knew and sang the chorus of Mary's Boy Child. Instead the adlibbed cast of kids stayed the entire remainder of the show making a much less than professional show. We were also puzzled by what Boney M thought the (far from young) male dancer in their group parading around shirtless added to the show? We enjoyed warm up artist Ellen Froese more than Boney M and feel cheated paying $275 for two TCU brunches and that show.
